About the Role
Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for digital marketing? Ace Handyman Services Lanier, backed by the trusted Ace Hardware brand, is looking for a motivated Marketing Intern to help us showcase the incredible work of our craftsmen.

This isn't just a "coffee runner" internship. You will be the voice of our local office, managing our digital presence across multiple platforms and learning the ins and outs of local SEO and lead generation.

What You’ll Be Doing
Social Media & Community: Own our presence on Facebook, Nextdoor, Google, etc.. engaging with the local Gainesville and Lanier communities.

Reputation Management: Respond to customer reviews on Google and Facebook to maintain our high service standards and brand voice.

Google Business Profile: Maintain and optimize our listing to ensure we stay top-of-mind for local homeowners.

Lead Strategy: Manage and review leads through social megia, ensuring our profile is competitive, professional, and updated.

Content Creation: Capture, edit, and post high-quality video content of our craftsmen in action. You’ll turn "before and afters" into engaging reels and stories.

Website & SEO: Use our internal portal to update our website, add project galleries, and create new pages to boost our local search rankings.

Local Networking: Represent the Ace brand at occasional Main Street Gainesville or Greater Hall Chamber events to build your professional network and our local presence.

Qualifications
Current Student: Ideally attending Brenau University (our office is just a short walk from campus!).

Tech Savvy: Familiarity with video editing apps (CapCut, Canva, etc.) and social media trends.

Writer’s Eye: Ability to write clear, professional, and engaging captions and web copy targeted at our ideal customer. 

Reliable: Since we are right around the corner from the Gainesville Square, punctuality and a positive attitude are a must.

Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

For example, they are in charge of their own job sites, and given the freedom to interact directly with Homeowners and Property Managers to suggest work that will improve safety, preserve their largest investment, and truly help them to love their homes and commercial buildings.

Ace Handyman Services’ work itself is often indoors in temperature-controlled environments, and is primarily of lighter-duty than new construction projects.  There are Franchise Owners and Office Managers to assist with the day-to-day operations and administrative side of the business allowing our Craftsmen to focus on the tasks at-hand and provide our customers with professional services that delight our customers.  Our Franchise Owners are successful, business-savvy individuals, who are ethical and treat their Staff like Family. The safety and well-being of TEAM members is a top priority. Many of our Craftsmen are former business owners themselves and after working for an Ace Handyman Services local office, even for a short time, they have no desire to be out on their own or operating their small businesses any longer.
